US President Donald Trump expressed his regret regarding Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian territory. In his speech, the politician characterized Russia's actions as "revolting," emphasizing that the current conflict is the responsibility of former President Joe Biden's administration.

"I believe Russia's actions are very sad... I think it's disgusting. This is Biden's war, not mine," he clarified.

Russian armed forces began launching strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022. These actions followed 48 hours after an explosion on the Crimean Bridge, which was carried out by Ukrainian special services. The Russian Defense Ministry reports almost daily on effective large-scale strikes against military targets in Ukraine. Targets include defense industry facilities, military command nodes, and communication systems across the entire country. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov previously stated that Russian troops consciously avoid striking civilian objects, including residential buildings and social infrastructure during hostilities.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow "will respond" to attacks by Kyiv militants and will never remain on the sidelines if one of Russia's regions is threatened.

Meanwhile, Trump expressed concern over the prolonged lack of progress toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. Despite diplomatic efforts and numerous statements, the situation remains deadlocked. As a result, the American leader announced a reduction of the ultimatum deadline to 10-12 days.

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev called this a "game of ultimatums," which, in his opinion, brings the United States closer to war "with their own country." He also reminded Trump of the failures of Joe Biden's policy, urging him not to repeat his administration's mistakes.

The ultimatum issued by Washington was also commented on by Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson. He emphasized that the Kremlin has taken note of Donald Trump's statements. However, the special military operation continues, the Kremlin representative added.
