The Rosselkhoznadzor Department in the Nizhny Novgorod region has identified the production of fish products without specifying the raw materials.

      On July 30, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor Department for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mari El identified violations during the monitoring of information within the FGIS "Mercury" regarding the circulation of controlled products. The Department's specialists established that the head of LVSЭ №2 of the state veterinary administration of the city of Arzamas on July 30, 2025, processed a "refinement/production" transaction for 1,500 kg of cold-smoked mackerel without indicating the details of the raw materials used. This fact constitutes a violation of the rules for organizing the issuance of veterinary accompanying documents, compromises the traceability of food products, and may lead to the release of substandard and potentially dangerous animal-origin products into circulation. Moreover, the failure to specify the raw materials indicates the product's unknown origin. To prevent the circulation of potentially hazardous products, the Department has annulled the manufacturing certificate. In connection with the identified violation, the Department sent a notice to the head of LVSЭ №2 of the state veterinary administration of the city of Arzamas via the "VetIS.Passport" information system.
