The first regional meeting of participants in the women's club at the Nizhny Novgorod Career Center "Work of Russia" took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The event united over 50 women, mothers, and daughters of participants in the SVO, as well as experts in psychology, social adaptation, and employment.
The head of the Department of Labor and Employment of the Population of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Igor Pantyukhin, addressed the participants with a welcome speech.
"Our main goal is to support women whose loved ones are in the SVO zone or have returned home after service. Such initiatives are extremely important for the region. When women unite to help their husbands and sons, it strengthens not only families but also society as a whole. We are ready to provide comprehensive assistance in employment and social adaptation for SVO participants and their relatives," noted Igor Pantyukhin.
Alena Minlebaeva, head of the women's club at the Nizhny Novgorod Career Center, presented the results of the association's work.
"Today, the women's club is exactly one year old. It operates in 15 branches of the employment service and at the 'Defenders of the Fatherland' fund. Our platform is a space where women can communicate, share experiences, and realize their potential. Over this year, seven participants of the women's club have started their own businesses. Today, at the regional meeting, we gathered mothers, wives, and daughters of SVO participants to help them find support for themselves and their families together with professional psychologists," she said.
The event was attended by Tatiana Druzhinin, a deputy of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod and head of the coordination center for supporting military personnel, mobilized persons, and their families at the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Center for Public Relations – Nizhny Novgorod House of National Unity."
"One of the priority areas of our center's work is supporting women and mothers of SVO participants. Every family should be aware of the social support measures available, so we conduct informational and explanatory work. You can also contact our call center with any questions and problems. Humanitarian aid and trips to the SVO zone are very important: during the center's operation, we have sent nearly 750 humanitarian convoys. Supporting our defenders gives them strength, and their families feel calmer and more confident," emphasized Tatiana Druzhinin.
The director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, Ekaterina Generalova, reminded that SVO participants and their relatives can always turn to the fund for legal, psychological, and social assistance.
"My husband returned from the SVO with injuries. We underwent a long treatment — changing more than one hospital. I even cared for five wounded soldiers for four days in a hospital in Moscow Region. Events like today are not just support. It’s an opportunity to breathe freely, knowing that there are people nearby who truly understand your pain," shared Anna, a participant from Sergach.
"Women waiting for their husbands and sons from the front or helping them adapt after returning are real heroines. We want them to know: they are not alone and can always count on our support in employment and social adaptation. The Career Center is open for cooperation and will be happy to assist with career navigation for everyone in need," emphasized Lyudmila Egorova, director of the Nizhny Novgorod Career Center "Work of Russia."
The event also included awards for three coordinators of women's clubs from the Urensky, Dzerzhinsky, and Borsky branches. They received certificates of appreciation from the Department of Labor and Employment of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
