      Economy In Arzamas, a violation was detected in fish product manufacturing — 1500 kg of cold-smoked mackerel were processed without specifying the raw materials used. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadзор Department for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mari El.

      The violation was identified on July 30, 2025, during data monitoring in the federal state information system "Mercury."

      The "processing/manufacturing" transaction was registered by the head of LVSÉ №2 GBU NO "State Veterinary Service of the City of Arzamas."

      The department explained that the absence of information about the raw materials violates the rules for issuing veterinary certificates, makes product traceability impossible, and could lead to the circulation of potentially dangerous animal-origin products. Additionally, it indicates unknown origin of the goods.

      To prevent further distribution of the product, Rosselkhoznadзор canceled the manufacturing certificate. An alert was also sent to the responsible person via the "VetIS.Passport" information system.

      It was previously reported that nearly 240 kg of illegal products were seized at Nizhny Novgorod Airport.
