A new transport interchange over the railway tracks was opened in the settlement of Vyezdnoye.

      In the village of Vyezdnoe (Arzamas Urban District), traffic was launched on a new transportation interchange over the railway tracks. As noted by the regional government, this is one of the most demanded automobile routes. It connects Arzamas with Diveyevo and Sarov.

      Previously, traffic on this section was carried out through a level crossing, which could not handle the transportation load. According to the Main Directorate of Automobile Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, during peak hours, traffic jams longer than one and a half kilometers regularly formed here.

      Construction of the new interchange was completed five months earlier than the contract deadline.

      Opening the overpass, Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, emphasized that thanks to this new facility, the route became significantly more convenient and safer.

      "The opening of this road is a long-awaited event for residents, tourists, and myself personally. We have long worked towards this. It all started with a government resolution on the development of the 'Arzamas – Diveyevo – Sarov' cluster. Without the decisions of the cluster's Board of Trustees and federal support, we would not have the southern bypass of Arzamas, which was launched in 2023, and the village of Diveyevo would not have a northeast bypass. Now Diveyevo is one of the few villages in Russia with bypass roads," — said the regional head, noting that the contractor handed over the project five months early.

      The length of the new transportation interchange is 750 meters, including 271.8 meters of the overpass itself. By the end of 2025, the contractor is expected to complete work on the adjacent territory, including demolishing the old railway crossing.

      About 35 people and 10 units of equipment are working daily at the site. Construction was carried out with the involvement of an infrastructure budget loan. The total cost of the project is 1.73 billion rubles, of which 1.615 billion were allocated from the federal budget.

      Alexander Schelokov, head of Arzamas, reminded that the need to build the overpass on this site had been obvious for more than 15 years.

      "This is one of the most important events in the development of Arzamas infrastructure. The appearance of the overpass is a result of the implementation of the Russian President's instructions, active promotion of the tourism cluster, and personal participation of the governor. The new object, along with the southern bypass and the road to Arzamas-1 station, will significantly ease the traffic load both in the city and beyond. Special thanks go to the builders who performed their work at a high level," — stated the official.

      Development of road infrastructure in southern Nizhny Novgorod Region, particularly in Arzamas and Diveyevo, remains one of the priorities for the regional government.

      Recall that in 2021, the northeast Diveyevo bypass was opened, and in 2023 — the southern Arzamas bypass, synchronized with the launch of the M-12 highway section. This allowed transit traffic to be diverted from the city center and its historic part to be updated.

      Additionally, construction continues on a new road from Vyezdnoe to Arzamas-1 station. It is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
