      Incidents A criminal case has been initiated in Nizhny Novgorod regarding violations of immigration legislation. The defendant is a 31-year-old local resident with no prior convictions. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region. According to police, the woman arranged for two foreign nationals to be registered at her apartment on Dyakonova Street for a fee. She knowingly was aware that the migrants would not actually reside at the specified address. The criminal cases were initiated under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or stateless person at the place of stay in Russia. Currently, a restraint measure in the form of a travel restriction and proper behavior is applied to the suspect. Investigative actions are ongoing.
