Heavy rain is expected!

      According to the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Upper-Volga Hydrometeorological Service," showers are expected across parts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the city of Nizhny Novgorod until the end of the day and in the evening of July 24, 2025.

      The likelihood of emergencies related to localized flooding is increasing due to malfunctions (clogging) of stormwater systems and drainage collector systems, flooding of low-lying areas, roads, low-clearance bridges, power line supports, communication lines, agricultural lands, increased road accidents, transport disruptions of all types, violations in the housing and utilities system, mudslides, and slope washouts.

      Recommendations for residents:

      While driving personal vehicles, reduce speed due to deteriorating visibility, softening and erosion of shoulders and dirt roads, increased road slipperiness causing skidding and sliding.

      It is recommended to use the mobile application "EMERCOM of Russia" to receive timely emergency information about forecasted hazardous and adverse weather phenomena and emergencies via the Internet.
