      Incidents

      On the evening of July 23, a fatal road traffic accident occurred in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accident happened around 21:30 on the M-7 highway. This was reported by the regional traffic police department.

      According to preliminary information, the driver of a Hyundai Solaris veered into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a GAZelle vehicle.

      As a result of the collision, the 32-year-old driver of the car sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the GAZelle received medical assistance but was not hospitalized.

      According to the truck driver, before the accident, the man in the Hyundai fell asleep at the wheel, veered onto the shoulder, and then, waking up, sharply turned the steering wheel and entered the oncoming lane, where the collision occurred.

      The circumstances of the accident are being established by traffic police officers.

      Earlier reports indicated that the driver of a Changan collided with a truck on the M-12 near Pilna and died.
