      Incidents A new tragic water accident has occurred in Nizhny Novgorod — a 62-year-old man drowned in Sortirovochnoye Lake.

      According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the incident happened in the Kanavinsky district of the city, on Arkhangelskaya Street.

      Rescue divers retrieved the victim's body from the water. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

      It was previously reported that a woman drowned in the Volga River near Lyskovo. Additionally, a man's body was found in the Vetluga River near Krasnye Baki in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      Since the beginning of the swimming season, more than 30 people have drowned in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
