Members of the United Russia party's deputy association in the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma discussed the implementation of the "Your Decision!" project.

      On July 22, 2025, a final meeting of the VII convocation of the City Duma of the United Russia deputies' association took place under the chairmanship of party activist and First Vice-Speaker of the Duma, Evgeny Kostin. Participants included the Chairman of the City Duma, Evgeny Chintsov; the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and head of the United Russia faction in the regional parliament, Alexey Antonov; the head of the United Russia Regional Election Commission, Dmitry Filipenko; and deputy heads of the Nizhny Novgorod administration, Irina Kondyreva and Leonid Streltsov. The event opened with information on the implementation of the "You Decide!" initiative budgeting project in Nizhny Novgorod, presented by Deputy Minister of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy, Nikolai Kostjukovich. He reported that, this year, 71 resident-initiated projects totaling 178 million rubles are being implemented in Nizhny Novgorod. These are mainly road infrastructure, children’s, and sports facilities. Currently, work on 48 projects is completed, with most others expected to be finished by August 31. Funding for the "You Decide! - 2026" project in Nizhny Novgorod amounts to 180 million rubles. Electronic applications for participation are accepted from July 15 to September 15 via the portal VAM.GOLOSZA.RU. Following the public voting phase from October 15 to December 1, a list of winning initiatives will be announced. During the association’s meeting, the results of citizen reception sessions held at the regional public reception of D.A. Medvedev, party leader, for the first half of the year, were summarized by the NRO party secretary’s deputy and reception head, Viktor Lunin. He expressed gratitude to colleagues for active cooperation with citizens throughout the VII convocation of the City Duma, noting efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, deputies’ participation in humanitarian missions in Donbass, and assistance to socially vulnerable groups. According to the figures, 337 citizen receptions were held over the half-year (229 in the same period of 2024), with 1,035 appeals considered and 673 questions resolved positively. Additionally, members reviewed information regarding the preparation of city educational institutions for the new academic year. Acting Director of the Education Department, Marina Gladyshiva, stated that the commission acceptance list, scheduled to finish by August 15, includes 471 educational institutions: 153 schools, 295 kindergartens, and 23 additional educational facilities. To date, 181 institutions have been accepted. Capital repairs, including roofing, facades, and drainage, are ongoing at four schools and three kindergartens, with current repairs affecting 312 facilities. Moreover, within the governor's initiative budgeting project "You Decide!", arrangements for asphalt paving are planned at 14 educational organizations, and new or renovated sports facilities are being developed at 23 sites. Traditionally, deputies discussed the agenda for the upcoming City Duma session. The information on the discussed issues was acknowledged.
