Society: Repair work on the M-7 "Volga" federal highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been completed. This was reported by FSUE "Uprdor Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod."
As part of the current maintenance, road workers eliminated deformations and damages on an area of 46 thousand square meters. The work was carried out using local "patch" construction — damaged sections were milled, cleaned of debris, coated with bitumen, and covered with a new layer of hot asphalt concrete.
On the Kazan direction, repairs were performed at nine sites: at the outskirts of Kstovo (443–444 km), between Letnevo and Lyskovo (490–498 km), and at the border with Chuvashia (568–574 km).
On the Moscow direction, restoration work was carried out in the Meshkovo area (341–342 km), near the Sema River bridge (365–366 km), from the turn to Dzerzhinsk to the Nizhny Novgorod bypass exit (385–399 km), and on the bypass itself — from Doskino to the intersection with highway R-158 Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov (415–430 km).
Additionally, specialists fixed issues on the section from 346th to 348th km at the approaches to the railway crossing near Chicherovo station. The crossing itself and the 10-meter zone from it are under the jurisdiction of railway authorities. Deformations were recorded in the rubber-band covering between the rails.
Drivers are advised to reduce speed before the crossing and exercise special caution to avoid vehicle damage.
It was previously reported that on the R-177 "Povetluzhye" highway, restrictions on movement will begin on July 25, 2025, on the section from 103rd to 119th km within the Semenov urban district.
