Six Ukrainian drones shot down over the Nizhny Novgorod region

      July 23, 2025, 07:30 [270] Incidents Russian air defense systems successfully repelled a mass drone attack on the night of July 23, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Six drones were intercepted over the Nizhny Novgorod region. No reports of casualties or damages resulting from the attack. Overall, from 10:40 pm on July 22 to 7:00 am on July 23, a total of 33 aerial drones of the airplane type launched from Ukraine were discovered and destroyed. The highest number of drones was shot down over the Tula region — 12 devices neutralized there. In the Rostov region, 11 drones were destroyed. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that all targets were destroyed by air defense units deployed in these regions.
