      Society: Deputies from SRZP Dmitry Gusev and Sergey Mironov proposed a draft law to the State Duma aimed at supporting large families. The document grants families the right to choose between a free land plot and a monetary compensation of 1 million rubles. This was reported by the "360" TV channel.

      The current support program provides only for land allocation, but in practice, many families face difficulties due to bureaucratic obstacles and unsuitable plots.

      Sergey Mironov emphasized that large families are the foundation of Russia's future, and they need real support rather than just bureaucratic hurdles.

      Dmitry Gusev added that the compensation will give families more opportunities to improve their housing conditions or meet other needs, allowing them to decide how to use the funds themselves.

      The amount of 1 million rubles was determined based on market prices. The average cost of a hundred square meters of land in Russia is about 145,000 rubles, and a standard plot for large families usually ranges from 12 to 15 hundred square meters. Thus, the proposed compensation corresponds to the market value of a land plot and could be a significant support for large families.

      Recall that in the first half of 2025, about 900 large families living in the Nizhny Novgorod region received land plots and housing certificates. According to the regional Ministry of Housing, families were provided with 678 land plots and 210 housing certificates.
