      A large accumulation of dead fish was found in the Sundovik River below Lyskovo. Fishermen discovered dead pikes, crucian carps, roaches, and other species downstream of the municipal treatment plants.

      According to local residents and ecologists, the incident was caused by the discharge of contaminated wastewater from the Lyskovo treatment facilities. Other hypotheses include algae overgrowth, which lowers oxygen levels in the water.
