      The head of local self-government of the Shakhunya urban district in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Oleg Dakhno, has resigned early. The relevant resolution appeared on the official website of the city administration.

      According to the published information, Dakhno made the decision to leave his position independently on June 30. On July 10, the district council approved the termination of his powers.

      Acting head of the district has been temporarily appointed as Alexey Smirnov, who previously held the position of deputy for municipal and information policy.

      It was previously reported that Gulnara Bikkulova took over the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod IT university "Neymark."
