      In the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, large-scale improvement of yard territories continues. The district head, Artyom Ivanov, personally assessed the progress of work in the courtyard of house No. 5 on Volzhskaya Embankment. Representatives of the management company AO "DK Kanavinsky District" were also present. This was reported by the city hall's press service.

      According to Artyom Ivanov, the district plans to overhaul 13 yards this season. "Approximately 139 million rubles have been allocated for landscaping in the form of subsidies to management companies. The main types of work include replacing asphalt, installing sidewalks, and laying new curbstones," he noted.

      Currently, work has already begun in nine yards in Kanavinsky. One of them, on Sovetskaya Street near house No. 14, has already been completed. All landscaping activities are scheduled to be finished before the cold weather sets in.

      Andrey Buzin, director of AO "DK Kanavinsky District," reported that sidewalk repairs are ongoing at Volzhskaya Embankment, 5, with about 50% of the planned work completed. "In addition to laying new pavement, we are widening driveways and organizing parking zones. We plan to complete the work by the end of the month," he said.

      Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod Mayor Yuri Shalabaev announced that in 2024, the city plans to repair a record 275 yards. Nearly a billion rubles have been allocated for this for the first time: 500 million from the city budget and 300 million from the regional budget. The main focus is on repairing sidewalks, driveways, and creating parking pockets.
