      The parallel program of the multi-format exhibition "Great All-Russian" has started, which is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the XVI All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition of 1896. The program will include more than twenty lectures, conferences, round tables, thematic days, and a theatrical performance. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Meetings with specialists from various fields of science and culture will take place throughout September and October in the cinema lecture hall of the exhibition Packhouse. "About the architecture of exhibition pavilions, the fashion of that time, the economy, as well as personalities such as Vladimir Shukhov or Savva Mamontov, will be discussed not only by scientific staff from our main museums but also by invited lecturers. I would like to note that among them are teachers from the Higher School of Economics, specialists from the Museum of Architecture, the Glazunov Academy, and other leading experts from various fields. Several meetings with the legendary Tatyana Pavlovna Vinogradova are also planned," noted the Minister of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Natalia Sukhanova. The lecture program covers a wide range of topics: the evolution of industry, agriculture, and engineering, issues of economics and architecture, international relations, as well as outstanding achievements in culture and art at the end of the 19th century. Each meeting will reveal new facets of such a large-scale historical event as the 1896 exhibition and will tell about its unique legacy, which still defines the cultural code of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The program opened with a meeting with the honorary citizen of Nizhny Novgorod, Professor of the UNESCO Department at NNGASU Tatyana Vinogradova. It was dedicated to the place of the XVI All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition in world history. In addition, on September 5 at 14:00, there will be a lecture by researcher Ekaterina Baskakova from the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum on the topic "From Merchant Tea to Imperial Fans: The Image of China at the XVI All-Russian Exhibition of 1896." On September 10 at 18:30, another meeting with Tatyana Vinogradova is scheduled. Its topic will be "The Nizhny Novgorod Triumph of the Great Engineer Shukhov." The lecture "XVI All-Russian Exhibition: Architecture of Pavilions" by researcher Nadezhda Yurasova from the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum will take place on September 12 at 14:00. On September 19 at 14:00, a meeting titled "The Eyes of an Interested Witness of the All-Russian Art and Industrial Exhibition of 1896 V. I. Vinogradov" is planned, which will also be conducted by Tatyana Vinogradova, and on the same day at 16:00, there will be a meeting with architect Zoya Ryurikova, chair of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Architects of Russia, dedicated to the history of preserving the heritage of Strelka. On September 24 at 18:30, designer, collector, and founder of the Museum of Fashion and Tailoring Arts named after N. P. Lamanova, Olga Parle, will give a lecture titled "A Debut 130 Years Later: The Story of a Coat That Became a Document of a Fashion Era." Another lecture by researcher Ekaterina Baskakova from the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum titled "Pagoda on the Volga: The Architectural Appearance of the Chinese Pavilion" will take place on September 24 at 14:00. Admission to the lectures is granted with a ticket to the "Great All-Russian" exhibition. The multi-format exhibition "Great All-Russian" will be held at the exhibition Packhouse until November 4.
