      The hockey club "Start" announces the decision to move the team to the higher league in the 2026/27 season. The team will be formed from young players - graduates of Nizhny Novgorod schools, and hockey players with experience in the Super League. The activities of the "Start-2" team are temporarily suspended. The club's funding is primarily provided by regional subsidies. The decision was made in light of the current economic situation. There have been personnel changes in the team. Yuri Erofeev has left the position of team director, and the new head of the ANO HC "Start" is former midfielder Denis Kotkov, who completed his professional sports career in 2026. Kotkov is the holder of the 2012 World Cup, a multiple medalist of the Russian championships, and a bronze medalist of the 2018 World Cup.

      HC "Start" expresses its sincere gratitude to the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region and personally to the governor for many years of support, trust, and joint work; to the team's partners for many years of cooperation. The regional government and the CURS will continue to fulfill their social obligations for the development of bandy in the region, including support for youth and junior programs.

      It is important to emphasize that the club retains its structure. All current obligations to players, including financial ones, are fulfilled in full.
