A commemorative planting has been established in honor of the unity of foresters from the Nizhny Novgorod and Mogilev regions.

As a sign of unity between the foresters of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Mogilev region, the participants of the campaign planted 27 seedlings of black-fruited rowan and three oak seedlings. The Ministry of Forestry of the Nizhny Novgorod region reported that the region has launched the campaign across the entire Volga Federal District. "Just a year ago, we were adopting the advanced experience of our Mogilev colleagues and studying their approaches to sustainable forest management, the implementation of modern technologies in forestry, and the organization of forest protection systems. And today we are pleased to demonstrate our own developments and share the results of our work in the field of forestry and hunting management in the Nizhny Novgorod region," noted Roman Vorobyov, the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife Protection of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The delegation from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus visited the Nizhny Novgorod region as part of the development of international cooperation and experience exchange in the field of forestry and hunting management. The delegation was headed by Vladimir Sirotin, the General Director of the Mogilev State Production Forestry Association of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus. "Our peoples are united by a deep connection of common history, jointly overcome trials, and a shared responsibility for future generations. We continue the noble work of our predecessors and together protect what is especially dear: natural resources, the memory of heroic deeds, and spiritual heritage. During the visit, the delegates were introduced to the forestry management system of the Nizhny Novgorod region, including the use and restoration of forests, as well as the control system for the activities of forest users. An important element of it is the regional information platform "Digital Forest," which integrates management, monitoring, accounting, and control of forest resources, as well as the accounting of wild animal populations and the distribution of permits in the field of hunting management in a single digital space. Special attention was paid to the set of measures for the prevention and early detection of forest fires - they talked about the work of the Regional Dispatch Service, which monitors the forest fire situation around the clock, the data from the monitoring system, including video surveillance cameras, satellite data, information from ground patrols, GLONASS systems, and digital radio communication channels. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles was also demonstrated. The demonstration of the operation of long-range drones took place in the territory of the Uren district. The agency reminded that by the end of 2026, the region ranked among the leaders in the federal rating of "droneification" in terms of the use of forestry scenarios, which is formed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia in collaboration with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Federal Center for Unmanned Aviation Systems," ASI, and the NTI Platform. During the visit, colleagues were also shown the work of the Bor and Uren fire stations of III type, demonstrated the equipment, techniques, organization of duty shifts, and the procedure for responding to fire signals. Guests were also shown the work of subordinate institutions - the Semyonovsky Special Seed Forestry Enterprise, which specializes in growing high-quality planting material, including seedlings with a closed root system, as well as the harvesting and processing of seeds of forest species, and the Krasnobakovsky Forestry College, which trains specialists for the forestry industry.
