      September 4, 2026 20:00 Society A new school for 1,000 students is planned to be built in the village of Kamensky in the Bogorodsky district. This was reported by the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region in response to a local resident's inquiry on social media. The woman spoke about the overload of the existing school. According to her, the institution, designed for approximately 350-400 places, currently accommodates more than 700 children. Due to a lack of classrooms, students study in two shifts, and the village itself is actively growing. The ministry explained that there is currently one school operating in the village - MBOU "Kamenskaya School." At present, it has 640 students, of whom 152 from seven classes study in the second shift. The institution has been operating in this mode since 2025. Over the past five years, the school has undergone major repairs to the roof, facade, and heating system as part of a state program. In addition, all possible free spaces have been converted into classrooms. The ministry emphasized that the school is equipped with everything necessary for the implementation of educational programs. The department added that according to the general plan of the Bogorodsky municipal district, the construction of an educational organization for 1,000 places is planned in Kamensky.
