      In September 2026, the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Work of Russia" will hold a series of job fairs for residents of the region. The events will take place at the branches of the personnel center throughout the Nizhny Novgorod region. In addition to traditional mini-job fairs, participants can expect industry-specific events, specialized meetings for certain categories of citizens, and consultations on employment issues. The fairs are held as part of the national project "Personnel," which has been implemented since 2025 by the order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The national project combines measures for training specialists according to the needs of the economy, vocational training, and assistance in employment for citizens. One of the key events of the month will be a series of job fairs with enterprises in the machine engineering sector titled "Technologies of the Future in Machine Engineering." Today, this industry is actively developing: enterprises are modernizing production and mastering the release of new products. As a result, the machine engineering complex is experiencing a high demand for qualified personnel — from design engineers and technologists to machine operators and welders. Participation in the fair gives job seekers the opportunity to find work at leading factories in the region without leaving their district. Throughout the month, events for underage citizens, specialized fairs for participants of the special military operation and their families, as well as mini-job fairs with the participation of employers from various industries will also take place at the branches of the personnel center. At the fairs, job seekers will be able to communicate directly with representatives of enterprises, learn about working conditions, requirements for candidates, and current job offers. "Job fairs remain one of the most effective tools for solving the personnel challenges of businesses. The format of live communication allows job seekers and employers to meet in person, bypassing the lengthy process of remote resume selection. Here, one can not only learn about job vacancies but also immediately feel the atmosphere of the enterprise, ask questions to managers, and receive feedback. Such meetings significantly speed up the employment process and help close the most important vacancies in the real sector of the economy," noted acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Work of Russia," Elena Vidyaeva. Visitors to the fairs in the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to receive consultations on resume writing and interview preparation, undergo career orientation testing, learn about state support measures, and free training programs within the framework of the national project "Personnel."
