Students of NNGU will have their tuition fees written off for the contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

      On August 27, 2026, at 14:22 Society Students of Lobachevsky NNGU will be able to receive a 100% discount on tuition after signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for service in the Armed Forces of Unmanned Systems. This was announced by the university rector Oleg Trofimov on social media. The decision on the new support measure was made at a scheduled meeting of the Academic Council of NNGU. The discount will be valid throughout the entire period of study. Students of any course and field of study enrolled in bachelor's, specialist, master's, and secondary vocational education programs will be able to receive it. After signing the contract, the student will be granted administrative leave until the end of their service. The tuition fees for the entire period of study at the university will be fully compensated. It was previously reported that NGLU will pay students 400,000 rubles for service in the UAV troops.
