Nizhny Novgorod's "Sovcombank Arena" is ready to host Kanye West in the summer.

      On August 25, 2026, at 18:31 Culture and Leisure, Nizhny Novgorod's "Sovcombank Arena" is ready to host a concert by American rapper Kanye West this summer. This was reported by the director of the stadium, Valery Mochalov, to RIA Novosti. According to him, the open venue has a capacity of 45,000 spectators and allows for large-scale events to be held at a high level.

      "We do not have a covered venue, and the capacity is 45,000 spectators, but in the summer, we would be happy to host him; we are ready and can hold anything at the highest level," Mochalov stated.

      He reminded that this year, concerts by the bands "Ruki Vverh!" and "Leningrad," as well as Basta, took place at the stadium. Additionally, the venue hosted events for the anniversary of "Rosatom," and in 2018, matches of the World Cup were held at the stadium. Mochalov added that the venue's capabilities allow for even more spectators. If necessary, additional structures can be installed for events at the stadium, and extra seating can be organized.

      "Any event can be planned for the summer; for one of them, we specifically built a serious structure. Our stadium is multifunctional, the most convenient in terms of logistics, and has the most beautiful views," noted the arena's director.

      Earlier, the concert agency Say Agency reported that Kanye West plans to come to Russia and perform (18+) on October 10 and 11 at the "Gazprom Arena" in St. Petersburg. However, representatives of the stadium stated that no rental agreement for the rapper's concert had been concluded, so the event cannot take place there. Later, the general director of Say Agency, Anna Subcheva, informed RIA Novosti that West has not canceled his trip to Russia and has already received an advance payment for the concerts.
