The court in Nizhny Novgorod sentenced the former deputy head of the GUMMID to five years probation.

      On August 25, 2026, at 18:40, the Soviet District Court of Nizhny Novgorod sentenced former Deputy Director of the MKU "GUMMiD" Ilya Beba to five years of conditional imprisonment. He was found guilty of exceeding his official powers and obstructing lawful entrepreneurial activity, reports "Ъ-Privolzhye."

      Additionally, the court prohibited Beba from holding positions in municipal authorities for 2.5 years.

      According to the case materials, during the repair of the Mizin Bridge overpass, Beba used threats to secure the involvement of the company "Dorilmont," owned by his father, as a subcontractor for LLC "Ecostroy."

      The defendant fully admitted his guilt. The prosecution also requested a conditional sentence for him.

      Beba's defense does not plan to appeal the verdict.

      Recall that in June, the court sent former head of the Nizhny Novgorod GUMMiD Andrey Levdikov to a penal colony for 5 years. He was found guilty of receiving a large bribe and fraud.
