Most Russians will spend between 10,000 and 30,000 rubles on preparing for school.

      August 27, 2026 13:50 Society Most surveyed parents in Russia plan to spend between 10,000 and 30,000 rubles on preparing their child for the new school year. This is evidenced by the results of the August study by "Rosgosstrakh."

      38% of respondents budget between 10,000 and 20,000 rubles, while another 25% expect to spend between 20,000 and 30,000. 21% of those surveyed plan to keep their expenses under 10,000 rubles, and 16% are ready to allocate more than 30,000.

      For flowers for teachers, most parents plan to spend significantly less. A bouquet costing between 1,000 and 3,000 rubles was chosen by 40% of respondents, under 1,000 rubles by 31%, and between 3,000 and 5,000 rubles by 25%. Only 4% are willing to pay between 5,000 and 10,000 rubles.

      At the same time, 39% of parents intend to give the teacher a personal bouquet from the child, 28% will choose a collective gift from the class, and 15% plan to congratulate several teachers with flowers.

      According to the study, the "bouquet index," which reflects the ratio of expenses for preparing a child for school and spending on flowers, was 10.8 points in 2026 compared to 7.3 the previous year. The company links the increase in the index to a rise in the budget for school supplies while expenses on bouquets remained relatively stable.

      More than a third of respondents (35%) believe that flowers have become 5-10% more expensive over the year. Another 28% assessed the price increase at 10-15%, and 8% — by more than 15%. Almost a third of respondents did not notice any changes in price.

      In most regions, the index was 10.8 points. In Moscow, the figure was lower — 7.3 points. Analysts explained this by the fact that capital parents often choose more expensive bouquets.
