      On August 20, 2026, at 14:42 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced on August 22 and 23 due to the Ironstar triathlon (18+) competitions, the city administration reported. The main change for motorists will be the closure of the Kanavinsky Bridge. Traffic on it will be completely closed from 22:00 on August 22 to 17:30 on August 23. Restrictions will also affect a number of adjacent streets and embankments. During this period, traffic will be closed on the Volga Embankment, Betancourt Street - from the Volga Embankment to Karl Marx Street, and Sovnarkomovskaya - from the Volga Embankment to Samarkand Street. Restrictions will also affect Pokhvalinsky Exit, Chernigovskaya - from house No. 4 to the Lower Volga Embankment, Blagoveshchenskaya Square, and the section of the Lower Volga Embankment from Blagoveshchenskaya Square to Krasnaya Sloboda.
