In the autumn of this year, a modern interactive museum exhibition titled "The Path of the Hero" will open in Sukhumi at the State Museum of Military Glory named after V. G. Ardzinba. The exhibition space will combine traditional museum formats with the latest multimedia technologies. The project is being implemented with the participation of the Administration of the President of Abkhazia, the Abkhaz State Institute of Humanitarian Studies named after D. I. Gulia, the State Museum of Military Glory, the administration of Nizhny Novgorod, and a number of other organizations. The Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod city administration reported that the project aims to preserve historical memory, strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation between countries, and promote the heroic pages of shared history. "The project is dedicated to courage, heroism, and the continuity of generations. Its central theme will be the joint historical path of the peoples of Russia and Abkhazia — from the events of the Great Patriotic War to modern pages of history. Special attention will be paid to preserving the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland and the patriotic education of youth," specialists emphasized. The exhibition will cover an area of more than 130 square meters. Visitors will be presented with a video wall "Epic of Heroism," interactive maps of combat operations, a drone control simulator, immersive VR tours, an innovative AR photo zone with the opportunity to try on the image of a defender of the Fatherland, as well as a virtual laser shooting range. As part of the project, the First International Scientific and Practical Conference will be held with the participation of leading historians, political scientists, and experts from Russia and the Republic of Abkhazia, and a nationwide online broadcast of the event will be organized for a wider audience. Following the conference, a scientific collection is planned to be published, which will include 30 research articles dedicated to issues of shared history, preservation of historical memory, and modern humanitarian aspects of Russian-Abkhaz cooperation. The "Path of the Hero" project is intended to become a platform for open professional dialogue, preservation of historical heritage, and strengthening cultural ties between Russia and Abkhazia, uniting representatives of different generations around respect for the heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland and shared historical memory. The international cultural and educational project "Path of the Hero" is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
