NNGASU reported on the missing 19-year-old student in Thailand.

      August 12, 2026 20:25 Society Missing in Thailand, a 19-year-old student was studying in the second year at Nizhny Novgorod State Architectural and Civil Engineering University (NNGASU). The girl was pursuing an education in "Geodesy and Remote Sensing."

      Recall that the girl went missing at the end of May. First, she flew to China, and from there to Thailand. Before her disappearance, she withdrew her savings and asked her relatives not to look for her. The family suspects that Anya may have become a victim of abduction.

      The university told NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" that during her studies, the girl established herself as a diligent and capable student. She was respected by her teachers and classmates.

      However, in mid-spring, Anya stopped attending classes and unexpectedly left for China, not telling anyone about her plans. This came as a complete surprise to her classmates—before that, she had been behaving normally.

      Due to her prolonged absence, the student was not allowed to take the summer exam session.

      "The university is ready to assist law enforcement agencies and the family within its powers. We express hope for a favorable resolution of the situation and the swift return of the student," the press service of NNGASU reported.

      It was previously reported that in March, a 22-year-old woman from Nizhny Novgorod died under strange circumstances in Georgia. She was found in a hotel room in Tbilisi without signs of life.
