      August 13, 2026 09:26 Incidents Police and emergency services are working at Lyadov Square in Nizhny Novgorod after a truck knocked down a traffic light pole and severed wires, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" correspondent.

      It is worth noting that due to the incident, serious traffic jams have formed on the Oksky exit and Molitovsky Bridge. Gagarin Avenue has also been paralyzed - the traffic jam has stretched to the intersection with Beketov Street.

      According to preliminary information, the heavy truck knocked down the traffic light that regulated the turn of vehicles from the Oksky exit to the right onto Gagarin Avenue. The structure is currently lying on the roadway.

      Traffic lights are not functioning at the scene, and traffic is being conducted under difficult conditions and is being manually regulated. The CRTS has asked Nizhny Novgorod residents to take the situation into account when planning trips around the city.
