The repair of another section of the Kstovo - Dalnyaya Konstantinovo road has been completed.

      August 12, 2026 18:10 Society In the Kstovo district, the repair of the section of the Kstovo - Distant Konstantinovo road - Nizhny Novgorod - Saratov has been completed. The work was carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," and the object has already been accepted by the state commission. As reported by the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 4.7 km of the road has been brought into order. The contract cost amounted to 244.4 million rubles. The road is inter-municipal and has a total length of 52.4 km. Since 2019, during the implementation of the national project, 44.4 km of this road has already been brought into compliance. The current repair has become another stage of the major road upgrade. The work on the entire road is planned to be completed by 2028. On the section, which is 7 to 14 meters wide, road workers laid leveling and top layers of asphalt concrete, strengthened the shoulders with gravel mixed with asphalt concrete, and applied new markings. The repair took about two months. Approximately 50 people worked on the site, and road milling machines, gravel distributors, and asphalt pavers were involved. As noted by the acting director of the State Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "GUAD," Alexander Denisov, this section is considered one of the busiest in the area: traffic intensity here reaches 15,000 vehicles per day. According to him, the road passes through an industrial zone, so traffic jams and difficulties in movement regularly occur. During the acceptance, specialists paid particular attention to the quality of the surface. The longitudinal and transverse evenness, compliance with slopes, and height clearance under a three-meter ruler were evaluated. All indicators meet the standards, emphasized Alexander Denisov. This, according to him, should ensure the durability of the surface. The GUAD reminded that since 2019, thanks to the national project "Infrastructure for Life" (which was called "Safe and Quality Roads" until 2025), more than 6,600 km of roads have been repaired in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. In addition, about 140 km of regional roads have been built and reconstructed in the region. Just last year, 761 km of the road network was brought into compliance against a plan of 626 km. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It aims to provide citizens with modern infrastructure and includes 12 federal projects.
