The Nizhny Novgorod city administration plans to attract two loans totaling one billion rubles.
August 10, 2026 16:59 Economy The Nizhny Novgorod mayor's office plans to attract 1 billion rubles in credit funds. The finance department announced two procurements for the opening of revolving credit lines. According to the documentation, each contract provides access to half a billion rubles for a period of 365 days. The starting price of each lot is 87.5 million rubles. This amount is the maximum cost of servicing the loans - the interest that the city budget will pay to the winning bank over the year. In both cases, a floating interest rate is used: the key rate of the Bank of Russia plus a fixed margin. At the time of calculating the starting price, the total cost of using the loan was 17.5% per annum. Under the terms of the procurements, funds will be attracted in tranches as the need arises for the customers. New amounts will cease to be issued 30 days before the closing of the credit line. Customers have the right to repay the debt early without penalties, notifying the bank two working days in advance. The return of credit resources is secured by property that constitutes the municipal treasury of the city. The source of financing is the budget of Nizhny Novgorod. The attraction of borrowed funds is carried out for purposes provided for in Article 103 of the Budget Code of the Russian Federation. Operations for opening and servicing the lines themselves are conducted by banks free of charge, and additional commissions are not allowed. The acceptance of applications will end on August 25. The results of the supplier selection for both procurements are scheduled for August 27. It was previously reported that the regional Ministry of Finance plans to attract loans of 6 billion rubles.
