The readiness of educational institutions for the new academic year was checked in the Soviet district of Nizhny Novgorod.

      The party delegation assessed the quality of repairs and equipment in two general education schools and one kindergarten.

      In anticipation of September 1, an inspection commission led by Yuri Balashov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and a member of the "United Russia" faction, checked the readiness of schools No. 46 and No. 49, as well as kindergarten No. 441 in the Soviet district. The working group included representatives from the education department, district administration, and party activists.

      At school No. 46 on Boris Kornilov Street, a comprehensive set of works was completed for the new academic year. In the building constructed in 1971, 24 heating radiators were replaced, cosmetic repairs were made to the large gym, changing rooms, and technology classroom, new furniture was purchased for two classrooms, and restrooms were completely renovated.

      New equipment was installed in the cafeteria, power cables were replaced, the tiling and dining hall were completely updated, and modern tables and chairs were acquired.

      "This year we prepared vigorously once again — a large volume of work was done. Everything that needed updating was replaced: from engineering systems to furniture. Now all classrooms and facilities are ready for classes. Only minor final touches remain. We are eagerly waiting for the kids in the renovated school!" said Artem Davidenko, the principal of school No. 46.

      As part of the safety program, 16 internal video cameras were replaced, and last year, the external perimeter of the school was fully equipped with video surveillance at a budget of 7.5 million rubles.

      Next, the delegation visited kindergarten No. 441 "Grasshopper" on Vaneeva Street. Here, most of the developmental spaces have been moved outdoors — the old building does not have enough rooms for additional activities. The territory has been equipped with a theatrical stage for performances, musical parlors, and a sports area for family competitions.

      Additionally, the kindergarten has a site for learning traffic rules, a weather station, and a forest corner. The "Russian Courtyard" project continues — modernization of the garden with elements of landscape design.

      "As a team, we actively prepared: we repaired, painted, purchased, and installed. It is important for us that children feel comfortable and find it interesting every day. Outdoors, we created modern spaces for games and activities, and inside the groups, everything is bright and cozy. The kindergarten is fully ready to welcome its pupils — we are expecting about 400 kids," noted Elena Muravyeva, the head of kindergarten No. 441.

      At the end of the inspection, the delegation visited school No. 49. Significant work has been done at the educational institution in preparation for the new academic year. The principal, Olga Klusova, noted that new classrooms for children with autism spectrum disorders have been prepared by September 1 — now there will be three such classes, with special zones created for them.

      A speech therapy room has been equipped. Its establishment is particularly important. Specialist assistance is needed not only for students with autism spectrum disorders but also for regular students. The institution also has a modern music classroom.

      Special attention has been paid to the security system: the perimeter of the school is completely enclosed by a new solid fence. Almost one and a half million rubles have been allocated from the budget for its construction. Automatic swing gates costing 125,000 rubles have also been installed.

      The cafeteria has been updated: comfortable conditions have been created for both staff and children. Cosmetic repairs have been made to classrooms and corridors. In the new academic year, the school will accept 1,060 students, of whom 80 are first-graders.

      "We prepared for September 1 with special attention because we want children to come to a cozy, safe, and beautiful school. It is important for us that every child feels comfortable — whether they are a high school student, a first-grader, or a student who needs special support. We created new spaces for creativity, for speech therapy sessions, for children with autism. We strengthened security and updated the cafeteria. But the main thing is that we want the school to be a second home for the kids, where they are loved and awaited. We are already writing a script and preparing a flash mob for the festive lineup," said Olga Klusova.

      Following the inspection, the commission noted the high level of preparation of all the institutions visited by the delegation during the working trip.

      "We looked at three educational institutions in the Soviet district. I can clearly say: all of them are fully ready for the start of the new academic year. This includes anti-terrorist protection, fire safety, and food blocks where kids will eat, as well as classroom repairs. Children will be able to start their studies in the most comfortable and safe conditions," emphasized Yuri Balashov.

      As noted by Svetlana Shustova, head of the education department of the Soviet district administration, 80% of the district's educational organizations have been accepted as ready for the start of the academic year. Large-scale work has been carried out to create a safe educational environment: modern equipment and furniture have been purchased — ergonomic chairs, new tables, individual lockers for compensatory education classes, cribs, and lockers in kindergartens.

      New asphalt has been laid in three preschool institutions, and the territories have been improved. For example, kindergarten No. 404 received new fencing and asphalt covering. Textbooks have been purchased at 100%, and many institutions have renovated entrance groups.

      "Every year we approach the acceptance of educational institutions with special attention because the health and safety of our children are at stake. We see how schools and kindergartens are transforming: classrooms are being updated, modern spaces are appearing, and security is being strengthened. And it is especially pleasant that all the institutions we checked are ready for September 1 without any remarks. This is the result of the tremendous work of the teams — they put their hearts into the preparation, and the children will definitely feel it," said Svetlana Shustova.

      Let us remind you that the party delegation is a systematic tool for public control that allows for the rapid assessment of the state of social facilities, identifying problem areas, and responding promptly to residents' requests. Visits are conducted regularly and cover key areas of life in the region: education, healthcare, landscaping, and transport infrastructure. One of the most important tasks of the project is to monitor the implementation of the People's Program.

      School No. 46 hosts a district resource center for patriotic education and a school museum "Memory of Generations." The school actively participates in social projects, including the collection of humanitarian aid for participants of the Special Military Operation.

      School No. 49 is an innovative platform, a participant in federal trials, and a recipient of a grant to improve the quality of education for children with disabilities. Both educational institutions actively participate in the governor's initiative budgeting project "You Decide!"
