The president of RPL, Alaev, commented on Latyshonok's transfer to "Baltika."
On August 11, 2026, at 17:08, Sports President of the RPL Alexander Alaev commented to "RB-Sport" on the transfer of goalkeeper Evgeny Latyshonok to Kaliningrad's "Baltika." He stated that he sees no problem with this deal, as the clubs acted within the existing rules. On July 29, "Nizhny Novgorod" announced the transfer of Latyshonok from "Zenit." However, just a few hours later, it became known that the goalkeeper would go to "Baltika" on loan. In a conversation with the sports publication, Alaev noted that he calmly regards such transfers if they do not violate regulations. According to him, negative assessments should be given to attempts to circumvent or violate established rules. At the same time, the head of the RPL allowed for the possibility of revising the system of transit transfers. For this, he said, there must be a corresponding demand in the football community and an initiative to change the existing norms. Alaev also drew attention to the financial situation in "Nizhny Novgorod." He noted that the club, which has recently been in a difficult position, received support from private investors. These funds allow for the acquisition of players and the formation of a squad aimed at competing in the Premier League. In the opinion of the head of the RPL, the acquisition of Latyshonok could also have been made with an eye on the RPL. Alaev emphasized that in this case, the clubs did not deceive anyone and took advantage of the opportunities provided by the existing rules. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
