The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation will check the situation regarding the provision of medications for a 15-year-old disabled girl from Nizhny Novgorod. The mother of the teenager stated that since April, the child has been receiving analogs instead of the prescribed vital medication, which, according to her, negatively affects her daughter's condition. This was reported by the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The woman contacted the reception of the chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrikin on the social network "VKontakte". According to the mother, the girl, who has several illnesses, was prescribed a medication that cannot be replaced with analogs due to medical indications.
Following the complaint, a procedural check was organized in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Investigators will need to establish the circumstances of what happened and determine whether the child's rights to necessary medical care are being upheld. Alexander Bastrikin instructed the acting head of the regional Investigative Committee Alexander Dynkov to report on the progress and results of the check. The head of the agency also demanded to report on the work to provide the girl with the necessary medications. The execution of the instruction has been placed under control at the central office of the Investigative Committee.
