Unknown individuals desecrated graves at the cemetery in the Vorotynsky district.

      On July 24, 2026, at 09:33, incidents were reported in the village of Krasnaya Gorka in the Vorotynsky district regarding an act of desecration of graves. Local residents discovered a damaged marble cross and eyes on photographs of the deceased covered with tape. They reported this in the program "By the Way" (16+).

      The Ponomarenko family found a broken marble cross on their relative's grave. According to them, it weighs at least 30 kg and was buried in the ground. The relatives are convinced that it could not have fallen and broken on its own due to wind or other natural phenomena. Significant force was required to pull out and damage the heavy cross—one person would hardly be able to do this alone.

      Additionally, on several graves, unknown individuals covered the eyes on portraits with black ribbons or tape. Local residents say that such incidents have never occurred in the entire history of the cemetery. They hope that those responsible will be identified and punished.

      Currently, the police are conducting an investigation. There are no specific suspects at this time.

      Earlier, it was reported that more than 50 gravestones were toppled and broken at the cemetery in the village of Doschatoye near Vyksa. It turned out that this was done by three boys and one girl aged nine and ten years.
