The online cinema Wink and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia have launched emergency notifications.

      On July 21, 2026, at 14:45, Society Online cinema Wink (a joint venture of Rostelecom and NMG) and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia launched alerts about emergencies in the video service interface. Wink became the first Russian online cinema to implement this functionality. Thus, even viewers engrossed in watching will not miss important emergency information about natural, technological, and other risks.

      Wink conducted integration with the mobile application of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the data from which, with geographic tagging, is automatically displayed on active screens. This uses a joint domestic development by Wink and the IT cluster of Rostelecom—a smart message delivery service to all screens of the online cinema. The implemented solution is completely independent of foreign push notification delivery technologies (FCM, APNs, HMS, and others).

      "Wink and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia have implemented for the first time in an online cinema a project to deliver emergency information from the duty services of the RSChS to the population, having worked out all technological and organizational issues of integration. Now important regional information will be available on any active screen that displays content from the video service. The key advantage of our solution is that it is 100% Russian. The cooperation between Wink and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia expands the channels for delivering emergency information to the population, which is important for ensuring safety in situations of any origin."

      Wink is included in the white list of domestic online resources, which is being formed by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia. This means that TV channels, the library of films and series on the platform are available even during temporary mobile internet restrictions that are imposed for safety reasons.

      In the Wink mobile application, there is an option to download content to the device's memory, which then allows it to be watched anywhere, for example, in a shelter, and with no connection at all. If you download your favorite series and films in advance, as well as planned new content to watch, it will then be available even in non-standard situations.
