More than 100 foreign delegations visited the Nizhny Novgorod region in the first half of 2026.

Representatives from Abkhazia, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the UAE, Serbia, Singapore, Thailand, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and other states visited the Nizhny Novgorod region. "The Nizhny Novgorod region, possessing colossal potential in various fields and a unique cultural heritage, undoubtedly attracts the close attention of foreign partners. That is why the regional government is systematically working to strengthen our positions on the international stage, consistently demonstrating readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation across a wide range of areas—from economics and innovation to science and culture. We are convinced that active international interaction is a key factor for the dynamic development of the region and the improvement of the quality of life for its residents. I am confident that this trend towards expanding cooperation will only intensify," noted Olga Guseva, Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region. One of the key events that contributed to attracting a significant number of foreign guests was the annual international conference CIPR, held in Nizhny Novgorod from May 18 to 21. Over four days, the event was attended by more than 13,000 participants from all regions of Russia and 46 countries around the world, including China, India, Brazil, Serbia, Argentina, and the Philippines. The exhibition featured 185 stands with technological solutions from Russian and foreign companies. The result of active dialogue and fruitful cooperation in the first half of 2026 was also the signing of 11 contractual documents with foreign partners. These agreements were concluded with a number of countries, including Abkhazia, Belarus, and Serbia, and are aimed at further developing trade-economic, scientific-technical, and cultural ties.
