The readiness of the duplicate of Gagarin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod has become known.

      July 15, 2026 17:17 Society Construction work on the duplicate of Gagarin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod is progressing according to the approved schedule. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by LLC "KSK No. 11".

      Recall that the project is being implemented under a concession agreement signed in 2023.

      The main volume of work is currently focused on the second and third phases. Their readiness is estimated at 55.84%. At the same time, the concessionaire expects to complete them ahead of schedule.

      Currently, noise protection screens are being installed at the site, outdoor lighting lines are being laid, the lower layer of the road surface is being arranged on the bridge over the stream, deformation joints are being mounted, pile foundations for above-ground pedestrian crossings are being erected, and the reconstruction of engineering communications is also ongoing.

      The new highway, over 12.3 kilometers long, includes the second, third, and fourth phases of construction. The total cost of the project is estimated at 64.4 billion rubles, and the construction period is 4.5 years. The concession agreement is for 30 years and 9 months.

      The main volume of work is currently focused on the second and third phases. At the same time, the concessionaire expects to complete them ahead of schedule. The opening of traffic on the third phase is planned before September 30, 2026, and on the second before June 30, 2027.

      Construction of the fourth phase, which includes the construction of a bridge over the Oka River, will begin after attracting federal co-financing.
