The authorities held a meeting due to the fuel crisis: what was decided

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak, held a meeting on the situation in the fuel market with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, regional authorities, and industry companies. During the meeting, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Agriculture presented a report on the supply of fuel and lubricants to agricultural producers, support measures for the agricultural sector during the harvest campaign, as well as the price dynamics of petroleum products in the regions. It was decided at the meeting that the volumes of fuel previously sold through traders on the exchange would be directed by vertically integrated oil companies directly to end consumers. In addition, the Federal Antimonopoly Service was tasked with exploring the possibility of reducing the standard for exchange sales of diesel fuel to 10%. The participants also discussed the issue of ensuring fuel supply for road transport involved in delivering goods to retail chains. The attendees noted the importance of uninterrupted logistics operations and timely supply of food to stores. As Alexander Novak emphasized, following the government's decision to ban the export of diesel fuel, the domestic market is gradually becoming saturated. According to him, the regions will receive the necessary volumes for carrying out harvest work. The Deputy Prime Minister also added that prioritizing fuel supply for transport carrying food products will help contain costs and prevent their impact on retail prices. The Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with industry companies, have already organized priority supplies for large retail chains. It is worth noting that on July 6, President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on the fuel situation in Russia. He referred to the ongoing events as "temporary difficulties."
