      As emphasized by the agency, every student who has completed their studies in the 9th grade and received a certificate of basic general education has the right to continue their education. This can be at the level of secondary general education or secondary vocational education.

      Educational institutions can organize specialized training with in-depth study of certain subjects. In this case, the school has the right to conduct entrance exams or carry out individual selection. If a student successfully passes the tests, they must be enrolled.

      If there are no available places in the school the child graduated from, they must be offered a place in another educational organization. This is the responsibility of the executive authorities of the subject of the Russian Federation or local self-government, which are responsible for managing the education sector.

      Moreover, the legal representatives of students can contact the Ministry of Education directly through official communication channels, including a hotline and a public reception on the official website.

      The Ministry of Education also reminded that the Constitution of the Russian Federation enshrines the right of everyone to education. Federal Law No. 273 ensures the accessibility and free education at the levels of preschool, primary general, basic general, and secondary general education in accordance with state educational standards. Thus, every citizen has the right to receive secondary general education in educational organizations implementing the corresponding programs.
