      July 14, 2026 14:50 Economy The Nizhny Novgorod State University (NNGU) will allocate 46.6 million rubles for the reconstruction of the former "Aquarium" café. This was reported by the NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" from the university. The contractor was selected following the results of the competitive procedure. The contract is currently in the finalization stage. The renovation is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. It was previously reported that the capital repair project received approval from the state expertise. According to the documentation, the building will be converted into a cultural and exhibition center. The university clarified that the priority remains the option of placing the regional branch of the information center "TASS" in the renovated building. Earlier, the university planned to open its own press center and classrooms in the building on Pokrovka.
