The historic house on Shevchenko in Nizhny Novgorod will be integrated into an elite residential project.

      Recall that the two-story wooden house built in 1901 was purchased at auction by the specialized developer "NNDK" for 16.3 million rubles with an initial price of 7.2 million. The building, with an area of 147.4 square meters, does not have the status of a cultural heritage site, but it is considered a historically valuable urban-forming object.

      It is located within the protective zone of the cultural heritage site "The Wing of the Merchant I.G. Saichev" from 1913 and is situated near the IT campus "Neimark".

      In "ASIRIS," it was noted that the company has a license for the preservation of cultural heritage sites. Previously, it carried out the restoration of the regional cultural heritage site "Gusev Estate" (Slavyanskaya St., 6/49).

      According to the head of "NNDK," Mikhail Ivanov, the house will be revitalized and integrated into the concept of the quarter's development already approved by regional authorities.

      "The house on Shevchenko Street, 5 will become part of a large comprehensive project with new construction and restoration of cultural heritage sites," he noted.

      Mikhail Ivanov added that the company had previously also purchased a nearby regional cultural heritage site. The project for its restoration is currently being finalized. The investor has three years to carry out the preservation work on the cultural heritage site.

      "After the implementation of all plans, a complex of elite housing or apartments will appear within the boundaries of Shevchenko Street. Historical houses will be integrated into the project's concept," he emphasized.

      It was previously reported that since the beginning of 2026, "Regnedvizhimost" has sold 13 historical buildings to investors for their further restoration.
