The Kanavinsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod has issued a verdict in a criminal case against a local resident. He is accused under Part 3 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (embezzlement, that is, theft of someone else's property entrusted to the offender in a large amount).
The court established that the defendant, holding the position of warehouseman - auditor in a commercial organization, posted advertisements for the sale of property belonging to the company on an "Internet service."
Without the necessary documentation, the man sold the goods, causing the organization damage amounting to over 260,000 rubles. The defendant appropriated the funds for personal use.
The defendant fully admitted his guilt in the committed crime, expressed remorse for his actions, and compensated the organization for the damage in full. The court sentenced the offender to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment conditionally with a probation period of 1 year and 6 months.
