Communication with the soldiers and the authority of his teacher had a significant impact on the young man and became an important motivation for his decision to serve. "I received a good education - I studied at a school with an in-depth study of English and graduated from a physics and mathematics lyceum. But now our country is going through a turning point, and the fate of the Motherland is being decided literally before our eyes. I can't sit quietly at home, go to cafes, and have fun. I consider it my civic duty to go to the special military operation. My friend serves in the 'Rubicon' unit, and communicating with him strengthened my decision. I realized that there I could be truly useful, and I find it interesting. My family was initially worried, but when I explained my motives and goals, my relatives supported me. My father said he was proud of me," said the future defender. The young man chose a gift from his teacher as a talisman - a fountain pen that a friend who participated in the special military operation brought to the teacher as a trophy. After victory, he dreams of enrolling in the FSB institute to continue serving the Motherland.

      No less indicative is the example of a 41-year-old volunteer with the call sign "Redoubt." Before signing the contract, he headed the IT department in a Moscow company producing plastic products. With professional experience in information technology, "Redoubt" consciously chose to serve in the unmanned systems troops, where his competencies can be applied to ensure the country's security. "The West wants to control the entire planet, destroy a multipolar world, and take the lead. And they are ready to go to any lengths, including the use of biological and nuclear weapons. I believe it is important to act now, to help our defenders. Therefore, I decided: in the unmanned systems troops, technology directly affects the result, and I want to contribute. I have good experience, I understand IT, I have skills in managing quadcopters and 3D printing. And maybe I can offer something new, improve, bring in my ideas," shared the volunteer.

      A distinctive feature of the contract with the unmanned systems troops is its duration - one year. Starting from June 15, 2026, the amount of the one-time payment to volunteers of the special military operation, provided they sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, has been increased to 3.2 million rubles. The monthly salary is from 210,000 rubles. Additionally, for military personnel in the UAV troops, extra payments are established for combat merits, for the destruction of enemy weapons and equipment - up to 500,000 rubles. Those who sign military contracts are issued certificates for the provision of land plots in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      It should be noted that there is also a mechanism for signing military social contracts in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which additionally guarantees the family of the contractor 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for housing and utility payments, preschool services, and other types of support. Moreover, individual support for the family of the serviceman is provided.

      The dispatch of residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region to their place of service is ensured by the coordination center for supporting servicemen, mobilized individuals, and their families, operating on the basis of the House of National Unity.
