The farewell to Nizhny Novgorod educator-mathematician Alla Baranova will take place on July 1.

      On June 30, 2026, at the age of 88, Alla Sergeevna Baranova passed away in Nizhny Novgorod. She was a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, an associate professor at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of Gorky State University (now NNGASU), and a well-known educator in the region in mathematics and physics. This was reported by the university.

      Alla Baranova was born on May 15, 1939, in Gorky. In 1962, she graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Gorky State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky with a degree in "Physics."

      Since 1963, she began working at the Gorky Research Institute of Physics and Technology, where she progressed from a junior researcher to a senior design engineer.

      In 1973, she started working at the Gorky Engineering and Construction Institute named after V.P. Chkalov. She taught at the university for over 40 years until her retirement in 2014.

      After finishing her work, she continued to help schoolchildren prepare for exams in physics and mathematics.

      Colleagues and students remember Alla Sergeevna as a wise mentor, a talented educator, and a person of rare warmth.

      The farewell will take place on July 1, 2026, at 11:00 at the Bugrovsky Cemetery at the address: Pushkin Street, 34.
