June 30, 2026 10:45 Society 55% of employed Nizhny Novgorod residents regularly work beyond the established norm. This data is provided by the SuperJob service based on a survey of the economically active population. According to analysts, only 34% of respondents adhere to standard working hours. Most often, participants in the study reported overtime within the range of 11−25% of the norm—this option was chosen by 20% of those surveyed. On average, additional hours increase working time by 26% per month. With age, employees report overtime less frequently. Among city residents under 35, 59% reported working overtime, while among respondents over 45, it was 50%. There is also a correlation with income level: the higher the salary, the more often employees stay late at work. Among those earning up to 100,000 rubles per month, 48% work overtime, while among those earning from 150,000 rubles, it is already 63%. When it comes to professions, couriers, drivers, and warehouse workers most frequently report additional working hours. Call center operators, programmers, secretaries, and designers report overtime less often. In turn, the leaders in terms of overtime hours are nurses, administrators, couriers, doctors, and educators.
