The KRT project in Novinki has begun to be developed in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On June 30, 2026, at 14:23, Economy The group of companies "Kronverk" together with the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region has begun developing a comprehensive territory development project in Novinki. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

      The project involves the creation of a new quarter covering more than 200 hectares, which will connect the residential buildings of the "Oksky Bereg" complex from the side of Bogorodsk and Arzamas. The project is being implemented at the initiative of the rights holder. The bidding was conducted by the state through the agent of PJSC DOM.RF.

      The winner was the Saratov developer "Kronverk," acting through the affiliated Moscow company LLC "UNO." The company acquired 85 land plots, offered as a single lot, for 2.52 billion rubles.

      As emphasized by the Minister of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Daria Shunaeva, the development of such a large-scale territory requires phased work with the participation of authorities at different levels and local residents.

      "We are consciously following this path to avoid repeating past mistakes, particularly those related to the infrastructure deficit that has historically developed in this area. This was previously one of the prerequisites for the emergence of the problem of deceived equity holders with subsequent labor-intensive solutions," she said.

      According to her, considering the existing restrictions, the concept envisions medium-rise construction, which should ensure a harmonious appearance of the district and sustainable development for decades to come.

      According to the approved 2023 planning project, about 1.6 million square meters of housing is planned to be built in the area. The construction of six kindergartens, three schools, a fire station, a physical education and health complex, two adult and one children's clinics is also provided.

      Part of the social infrastructure has already been created at the expense of the budget - a school, a kindergarten, and an adult clinic have been put into operation. In the future, the investor will build new facilities with subsequent transfer to state and municipal ownership.

      The General Director of LLC "UNO," Kristina Pleshkova, noted that the project is designed for approximately 70,000 residents. According to her, the task is not only to build housing but also to form a "city within a city" with the principle of a "15-minute city," where essential needs - work, education, sports, and leisure - are accessible within the microdistrict. The terrain with height differences is planned to be used for creating cascading buildings. The project also includes underground and guest parking, alleys with commercial premises, as well as common stroller and bicycle zones.

      The active phase of site development is planned to begin at the end of 2026 - beginning of 2027. Currently, the master plan is being developed, and planning solutions are being clarified. The developer claims readiness to consider residents' proposals at the design stage.

      It should be noted that at the end of 2025, another plot of 46.6 hectares in Novinki for development was acquired by a developer from Krasnodar.
