A veteran of the Special Military Operation opened a military-patriotic camp in Bor thanks to a social contract.

On June 30, 2026, at 13:21, Society Veteran of the special military operation Sergey Plechikov opened a military-patriotic camp "Spetsnaz" in the Borsky district. He was able to launch the project with the help of a social contract for participants of the special military operation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by pravda-nn.ru. Sergey signed the contract at the beginning of the special operation and spent about two years on the front line, serving as a driver for an armored personnel carrier. After being hospitalized, he was unable to return to service and began supporting his fellow soldiers from the rear by organizing the collection and dispatch of humanitarian aid. Upon returning home, he faced difficulties in finding employment. He learned about the support measure for veterans—a social contract—during his job search. The program allows for receiving 350,000 rubles to start a business. Sergey decided to implement a long-held idea—to create a military-patriotic camp for teenagers. According to him, he himself faced a lack of training in the army and wants to help young people acquire the necessary skills in advance. The camp plans to conduct classes in physical and drill training, hand-to-hand combat, drone management, and organize equestrian sports events. The instructors will be veterans of combat operations. The first shift of the "Spetsnaz" camp is scheduled for the end of July. Helmets, bulletproof vests, and weapon models have already been purchased for the classes. It should be noted that veterans of the special military operation can receive 350,000 rubles for business development, as well as free training in the basics of entrepreneurship. The average per capita income of the family is not taken into account when signing the social contract. For participants of the special military operation with disabilities of the I or II group, a special procedure for receiving assistance is provided—either the veteran or his unemployed spouse can apply for it. According to the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, nearly 120 recommendations for signing social contracts have been issued in the region, and dozens of veterans have already opened their businesses thanks to this support measure. Earlier, we reported that another group of volunteers left for the special military operation from Nizhny Novgorod. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
