      On June 29, 2026, 09:16 Society Nizhny Novgorod parents shared which professions they would least like for their children. The survey was conducted by the SuperJob service among moms and dads in the city. The most undesirable profession turned out to be that of a janitor—13% of participants responded this way. Parents mentioned working specialties in general slightly less often—11%. Among the professions that adults have doubts about are police officers and officials—9% of the votes. 7% of respondents would not want their children to be cleaners or salespeople. Another 6% admitted that they are not fond of the prospect of a teaching career. 5% of parents expressed opposition to military service. 4% of respondents would not want to see their children as accountants, medical professionals, bloggers, drivers, or managers. The least mentioned professions were artist, waiter, loader, and courier—2% each. Only 1% of survey participants named lawyers. At the same time, 14% of parents stated that they are ready to support any professional choice of their child. Men are more often concerned that their children might become officials, police officers, or drivers. Women, in turn, are more worried about jobs as laborers, cleaners, salespeople, or accountants.
