      June 29, 2026 10:02 Economy Nizhny Novgorod ranked 65th in the rating of Russian cities for housing construction. This is evidenced by the results of a study by analysts from "RIA Novosti." Last year, 637 thousand square meters of housing were put into operation, or 0.520 "square" per resident of Nizhny Novgorod. At the same time, the volume of such real estate decreased by 3.9%. The share of urban housing put into operation in the total volume of the region reached 36.2%. Meanwhile, the provision of housing in 2025 was 32.6 square meters per person. Leading the ranking were Kyzyl with 2.348 "squares" per person, Krasnodar with 2.151 square meters, and Tyumen with 1.986 "squares." At the bottom were Murmansk with 0.032 square meters, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky with 0.081 "squares," and Komsomolsk-on-Amur with 0.085 square meters. By the way, Dzerzhinsk took the 96th place in the list with 0.172 "squares" of housing put into operation per person. The provision of the population with real estate in the city of chemists was 26.8 square meters per resident.
